The placement fee becomes payable only after you accept an application, verification gates pass, both parties confirm dates and economics, and the agreement is ready for signature. The fee is subject to the published cancellation policy.
How CoStint handles money
During the current zero-fee rent-processing pilot, the placement fee is the only platform charge CoStint keeps. Rent is paid through CoStint's secure checkout and routed directly to your landlord's own account, minus any disclosed processing fee; rent never sits with CoStint. Security deposits are collected through CoStint and held for the stay, then returned per your agreement after move-out; any landlord claim is reviewed by a person before funds move. CoStint is not a property manager, and your lease or occupancy agreement is between traveler and landlord.
